bittersweet

We'd known for a few weeks now that Matt's gpa wasn't doing good, but just didn't want to happen on or near Father's Day. Unfortunately it did, but it was really best. He was in a lot of pain and ended up in a coma for the last few days. Matt's parents describe a very peaceful and wonderful goodbye with all the children and his wife right there. So here's to an amazing 90yrs of life lived for the Lord. This picture is from our last visit with them when Grace was little.

Getting this news the morning of Father's Day did damper things, but were still able to have a relaxing and fun time at my dad's. There's nothing like sitting in a hammock out in the country.
Here's my dad with the girls. So sweet to see him with them.

Avery is now 4 months old. She seems to be getting better and better each week with eating and sleeping. She's rolling all around and loves to sleep on her belly. She takes a dream feed around 10 or 10:30 and then doesn't wake up til about 5:15-5:45ish to eat and then again around 8-8:30 for the day :) This makes mommy SOOO happy and rested finally!!! She was 10lb 6.5oz last week. I am extremely grateful that the Lord has brought us this far and excited about all the fun giggle and play times ahead for the girls.

  1. She's getting so big and is so gorgeous - I love your monthly photos with the letters! I'm so sorry to hear about Matt's grandfather, definitely know I'll be praying for you guys and his family as you deal with the loss.

(ps - cute outfit - love the bows on the shoulders!)
