3 days old!

Grace is doing so well! I was released yesterday and couldn't bare to go home so we signed up for a pediatric sleep room. It's pretty much like a hotel room that is FREE! It was upstairs and the bed was really comfy! I was able to pump and Matt would take the milk right to her room so she could have it for her next feeding.

So when we got up and went down to see her this morning we were so happy to realize that her oxygen tubes were gone!! They said that since she'd been breathing so great at room equivalent oxygen they thought she would be fine off of it. She also got to lower her IV level because her sugar level is doing better. She needs to have it stay at least 50 or higher consistently and she crept all around the number yesterday and this morning she had a 70!!!

We are just so in awe of God and how well she is doing. We have felt so blessed every day with all the encouraging friends and staff here that just help us each day take it one day at a time and one step at a time and stay calm through it all.

We did feel like we overwhelmed her yesterday with all the people that came and so many changes. She was wiped out last night and this morning before we got up so we're going to ask that people come in the evening to allow her the whole day to rest. So we'll do short visits in her room and then hang out in the lobby.

Matt and I have both been blessed with have so many loving people visiting, praying, and calling to see how we're doing. You don't realize how much you're loved until things like this happen. So THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you who have been through this with us. Whether it's been just reading the blog, coming here or bringing food and most importantly those of you who have been praying for us. WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

We're so excited to bring her home soon to meet you all!

This is a picture of my mom, Grace and I. I was the oldest of four and Grace will most likely be the oldest of four as well. This is my mom's first grandchild. She is pretty much beside herself that Grace is actually here. She was here for the delivery and just went home today. She will help us out when we get home as well. Matt's mom is coming next Sunday and staying for a week!
